We just received word from an independent cal lab in Germany that the 1250 Series Exacta wrench is the most accurate wrench they have ever tested for torque accuracy. It is also the most accurate wrench they have tested for the accuracy of angle. We're delighted, but this page isn't about accuracy. This page is about durability.
You may have seen the video where we drop the wrench from 5 feet in the air and drop it in all orientations. We drop 5-pound weights on the tool. Then, we throw it out in the parking lot and run it over with an SUV.
We know that our competitors' wrenches can't take the drops, let alone the rest of the torture. But our wrench stands up to it because it is just another day in an industrial setting.

Yes, the wrench is that durable. But why is this digital torque and angle wrench so durable?
It is not an easy answer. It starts with housing. Yes, that housing is large. It started out as a block of aluminum and it was cut into shape. We designed the housing to withstand all the pounding that a tool can take in an industrial assembly setting. We've seen the 1250 Series Exacta digital torque and angle wrench caught in a scissor lift and have it squeezed until the screws popped out of the radio housing. The radio housing was bent. It wasn't pretty.
Sometime before, during, or after the scissor lift incident, the 600 ft-lb tool was taken up to 940 ft-lbs. That is more than 150% of the rated capacity.
We replaced the radio housing screws. Put in a new radio housing. We tested the wrench and found that it was only out of calibration at one of the 20 points (10 CW and 10 CCW). So we recalibrated the wrench and sent it back.
The housing helps protect the internal workings of the wrench. But the 1250 has an additional feature that helps make it significantly more durable than our competitors' wrenches.
We use a fusion gyro. That is the same gyro used in aerospace applications. Our gyro has a bit of AI built into it. That bit of AI makes all the difference in the world. Here's why.
The gyro has a sensor that intuits that it is falling, or has been dropped, or has been thrown. As soon as the sensor realizes that, it locks the gyro in place so when it lands, the gyro doesn't break.
You'd think that having a bit of space-age technology would drive the cost of our 1250 Series Exacta 2 digital torque and angle wrench far past our competitors.
The fact is just the opposite. Our wrench is significantly less than our competitors' wrenches and they don't have the more expensive technology.
Why is that? We can't answer that question. Nor do we want to. We want to focus on one thing, and one thing only. Our customers.
