The little brother is making a significant impact on assemblies around the world. The slim profile gives the 1350 Series Exacta 2 the ability to fit in tight places. But there is much more to this new wrench.
The 1350 Series Exacta 2 digital torque and angle wrench is the latest Exacta Series tool in the lineup. The 1350 Series Exacta 2 comes in five models between 5 ft-lbs and 250 ft-lbs. There are five models built with the traditional pin and spring dovetail and five models built with the Quick Change ball and spring dovetail configuration.
There are more than 200 interchangeable heads that fit on the pin and spring dovetail and the Quick Change dovetail. Interchangeable heads for torque wrenches are sold separately, so be sure to orders yours when ordering your tools. If you already have Sturtevant Richmont interchangeable heads, they will fit on these wrenches.
In the pin and spring dovetail configuration, a small flat head screwdriver is inserted in the access port on the head. The pin is depressed, and the head slides off the dovetail. With the Quick Change ball and spring configuration, thumb power is used to remove the head. We recommend that you limit your head size to 1-inch open-end heads or smaller when using the Quick Change configuration.
Powered by a cartridge containing three AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries, battery life is enough to power through the most demanding shifts. The 1350 Series Exacta comes with 6 NiMH rechargeable batteries so you can keep one set in the charger and one set in the wrench. You'll always have enough power to get the job done.
The 1350 has a flattened case that virtually eliminates side loading. Sideloading is applying torque at something other than 90 degrees to the fastener. A torque wrench in a round case is easy to sideload.
The 1350 transducer is the shear beam design, which is the same transducer we use in all the Exacta 2 wrenches. The tang is guided by eight steel ball bearings in a flattened case. That makes this wrench more accurate and durable than those torque wrenches built in a round case.
The torque and angle functionality are more accurate than torque alone. Torque and angle do more than just improve accuracy. It also identifies fasteners that are tightened for the second time. This "double hit" protection is invaluable when an operator has been interrupted and loses track of where he/she is in the batch. It also helps identify cross-threaded fasteners.
Changing joint conditions are often an indication of a deeper problem. We often see that in hydraulic assembly. We see it in other types of assembly, as well. In hydraulic assembly, changing joint conditions can indicate that the hydraulic hose was not cut to the proper length.
Identifying changing joint conditions is critical to high quality, consistent assemblies.
P-Sets, batch counts, units of measure, modes of operation are all set from the Global Manager software and sent to the Global 400 or Global 400mp torque controller. No changes can be made at the tool level. This protects your quality from any inadvertent changes.
You also can't set a torque value outside the tool capacity. If you do, the P-Set number on the controller turns red. The red numeral is the indicator that there is something wrong with the P-Set as it was established, and it needs to be changed.

Your 1350 Series Exacta 2 digital torque and angle wrench ships with two battery cartridges, an adapter, and the charger. The charger is the same one that we use with the 1250 Series Exacta 2. We know that there will be lots of 1250 and 1350 Series digital torque and angle wrenches will be working in the same assembly cell, so we wanted to make things as easy as possible for our customers. You can charge one 1250 Series battery cartridge and one 1350 battery cartridge at the same time.
The 1350 Series Exacta 2 uses a battery cartridge comprised of three AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries. We specifically chose the NiMH battery because it holds the power curve better than alkaline or LiOn batteries. This gives the sophisticated electronics a steady supply of power. Plus, the rechargeable batteries are environmentally friendly.
To calibrate the 1350 Series Exacta 2 it must be released from the Global 400/400mp with which it is paired. TAC CONNECT software is used to communicate with the wrench during calibration. The SR CONNECT wireless radio interface is the connection between the tool and the computer during calibration. If you are going to calibrate the wrench yourself, you need the software (TAC CONNECT) and the wireless radio interface (SR CONNECT) to calibrate the wrench.
There is no physical access port on the 1350 Series Exacta 2. The calibration table must be accessed via wireless communication. The SR CONNECT radio interface allows the TAC CONNECT software to adjust the calibration table.
